The 2008 Spice Route ride is a 5-day adventure that will start in the new Progressive Mishkenot Ruth Center in the Jaffa-area of Tel Aviv on the Mediterranean Sea and head south through the Negev Desert along parts of the ancient Nabatean Spice Route ending in the beautiful resort city of Eilat. Riders will be our guests on Thursday night as we hold a festive closing dinner, and relax. Those wishing to extend their stay in Eilat and spend a few extra nights with family and friends can do so. For more info go to the “Eilat Extra” tab on the menu bar.
The purpose of Riding4Reform is to raise funds to promote Progressive Jewish ideals in Israel. This includes a wide range of social, educational, cultural and community programs. More...
NEW THIS YEAR: Two options to meet the growing demand from both challenge and tour riders. The route will be the same, but those doing the challenge ride can expect to be in the saddle for 80 – 100 kilometers per day. The tour group will do up to 50 kilometers each day taking in the sites and enjoying points of interest along the way at a more relaxed pace. Whether challenge or tour, it will be 5 days of fun riding for those with average to excellent biking skills. The route will be a mix of on- and off-road riding - some relatively easy trails, but also some steep ascents. The ride is open to anyone 18 or over.
Why not start training now?!
